Kids - how 'bout some fresh squeezed melon soda?

I picked up a Passport Melon at Hank's Roadside farm stand across the street from the Jitney stop in Southampton and made some "soda" for the kids. Passport melons are an early season melon that has a wonderful fragrance and taskes similar to a honeydew. Other names are Middle Eastern or Israeli Melon.

RECIPE
Passport Melon Soda
Melon Juice
2 ripe Passport melons, cantaloupes, honeydew or other sweet melon
Pinch sea salt
Selzer or other sparkling water

Peel and seed melons, chop into 2-3 inch chunks. Place in blender or Cuisinart and blend until smooth. Add a pinch of sea salt. Chill until ready to serve. Mix juice and sparkling water in a one to one ratio. If a lighter drink is preferred, add more water.
