It's my 5th wedding anniversary and I made a small arrangement of the lovely and "picked from nature" sugar flowers from our wedding cake that I keep stored in the freezer. The flowers and cake were crafted by local baker and artist, Ron Ben Israel. Ron uses the finest and freshest ingredients in his masterful recipes, including seasonal and often local ingredients. His imagination is extraordinary. In addition to the gorgeous all chocolate wedding cake covered in colorful sugar flowers, he created a second "grooms" cake with bride and groom owls and a flower girl owl and best boy owl all riding on a Mardi Gras float to celebrate the union of husband and wife and my step twins into what has become an amazing family.
