Heat and Eat Dinner: Kielbasa and Sauerkraut

Photo (Lexi Van de Walle): Kielbasa, Mustard and Sauerkraut

There's nothing like having a stash of farmers market goodies in the fridge (and ready-to-heat and eat fare) during the third blizzard of the month in New York City. And a lazy (and snowy) day to go with it.

Tamarack Hollow Farms smoked maple kielbasa (grown up and locavore hot dogs) braised in water for 30 minutes served with warmed Hawthorne Valley Farms Raw Sauerkraut.

A traditional, Eastern European/Polish sausage "old country" style slathered in my favorite imported condiment: whole grained French Pommery Mustard....reminds me of BBQs from my childhood.
