Renoir's Les Fraise: Paris Day 1

Photo (Lexi Van de Walle): Les Fraise, Pierre-August Renoir (1905) at Musee de l'Orangerie

We arrived in Paris at noon, settled into our hotel and wandered over to the spectacular gardens at Les Tuileries for a romantic post-flight walk. With a slight chill in the air, we ducked into the darling Musee de l’Orangerie to take in this impressive and manageable collection.

Henry and I have both been to Paris before, several times, but not together so seeing Monet’s eight water lily murals nympheas and the Walter-Guillaume Impressionist and post-impressionist paintings with my husband was wonderful.

A totally enjoyable afternoon followed by a snack at the hotel. And, early to bed to rest up for a whole week in Paris.
