Lighthearted Locavore Wishes You a Very Merry Christmas

Before the holiday runs away from me I want to thank each and every one of my friends and loyal readers for another great year. I so appreciate your generous comments and the hundreds of conversations I've had with all of you about cooking with local food and food politics. 

My husband, Henry, my family and I all hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas and healthy and prosperous New Year.

The menu is finalized. The venison and ducks are in the fridge, prep for tomorrow is largely done, the table is set and centerpiece delivered. Dessert's been in the freezer for three weeks.  Links to the duck and dessert recipes below.
